Pinaon Time Tunnel | Penang

Another new attraction in Penang- The history museum which is also called as Pinaon Time Tunnel. The time tunnel brings us back to the time when Portugese first step foot in this place and named it  “Pulo Pinaom”, the arrived of Francis Light, Japanese World War II, Independence of Malaya until how Penang is today. Each of the stories were displayed in form of graphics, documents, crafts and small miniature of life sized sculpture. The museum consists of 2 storeys, however the top storey is still under construction when we visited the place last Dec 2013. The whole place was quite small and narrow, it doesn't suit to cater too much people at one time.

The entrance fee for foreigner is RM22 (adult) and RM 12 (child), and local is RM12 (adult) and RM 6 (child). If you would like to know more about the history of Penang, this is a good place for you to experience it. Overall, it is still a nice experience, helps me bring back my childhood memories in Penang.

The Camera Musuem | Penang

Penang recently open a camera museum in the heart of Georgetown Heritage Zone. I visited this place last December when I went back Penang for Christmas holiday. The museum is located at Lebuh Muntri, you can easily find using waze.

The museum occupied one of the double-storey lot building with 3500 sg ft space. You can find many vintage cameras from all over the world with its own stories and histories of how cameras transcended since 1500's. You can even learn the origin and types of cameras, discover the dark room and experience taking a photograph with the world's first camera. You will be surprise of how fascinating a camera can be especially you are using it in your daily life now. A must visit place when you are in Penang!

The camera museum is located at second floor. You may buy a ticket from the ground floor counter, just in front of photo opt booth. Entrance fee is RM20. Many people did not notice that there are more in second floor as there isn't any sign to purchase ticket until we ask the counter. There is also a small cafe at the end of the museum.
