Penang Laksa | Kedai Makanan BB

I heard from people that there is a stall sell Penang Laksa (from penang road) that is quite nice near Bayan Baru there. So, today I went to try it. As I went there was about lunch time, the place was packed so I just call for take-away. The location is just behind Sunshine Square at Bayan Baru in a kopitiam named BB kedai makanan.

The taste of the laksa was not bad, quite nice (very much like my mom's laksa) but the vegetables were cut into very big shape.

Nature's Recipe Cafe | Old Klang Road

I'm sure go to this shop whenever I come back to KL. I love to have vegetarian food and this shop provide a wide range of vegetarian food from Chinese to Western style. This place is called Nature's Recipe Cafe located near state there. I'll introduce some nice dishes that I like below.

Fruit tea is one of the famous tea in the shop but unfortunately we try today, the taste is out. Then we talk to the boss only to find out that the original fruit tea supplier is no longer selling anymore. So they have change another supplier for it. This means that no more famous fruit tea!

Medan Selera PJ, Old Town

I went to had lunch few days ago in PJ old town. After 2 years of studying in USM, this is the 1st time I'm back to this place. My dear like this place very much because he used to be his hang out place when school time with his friends. Today, I'll like to introduce what famous food in this place.

1st will be the Kie Kee chicken rice. What is it so nice about? I'm not sure but I know everyone come here for chicken rice. The taste is normal to me.

RM 5.00 (chicken with BBQ pork)

RM5.00 (chicken with chicken intestine)

2nd is the Ice Kacang at 46 stall. I can see most tables will called for it (chap-xu in Cantonese). The portion very small but taste not bad.

 RM2.10 (if not mistaken)

3rd will be the Yong Tau Fu stall. I did not try before but seem very popular too. Many people call for ta bao (take away). Maybe I'll try next time.

4th will be the pork satay. Just next two stalls of the Yong Tau Fu stall. I have not try this also but seem to be famous because it is pork! Next time I'll come back to try it.

Another thing I saw when I walk into the Medan Selera is lots of people eating banana leaf rice (indian food), of course all I saw was Indian eating there. Chinese people of course will eat at the opposite side. When you are there, you sure know what I mean. Indian food sound nice to me also. I'll try it our someday.

Restoran Kanna Curry House @ Section 17

Today, dad brought me to have lunch at Restoran Kanna Curry House after I request for banana leaf rice yesterday. Usually, I like to have banana leaf rice that near my former secondary school-CHS but mom doesn't seem to like it because it is very spicy. So, today let me bring you all to this new place located at Section 17.

The place seem crowded when we arrived at lunch time but we got ourselves a place inside the restaurant. The service was fast, banana leaf on the table once we seated, curry sauce serve to table, chicken, sotong, all coming one by one to our table. My eyes were like @.@ seeing all those dishes dashing to our table, my family's actions were fast too, pointing this that...within minute our table was filled with curry chicken, fried chicken, fried calamari, fish and vegetable on each of our banana leave..

This is a must have dish-Deep Fried Calamari (RM6.80). The crunchy calamari with fried onion and curry leaves, very good combination.

Deep Fried Chicken (RM6.00)- juicy and tender chicken thigh with indian spices. Good for those who can't take spicy food.

I was too busy trying the food that I forgotten to take photo again..>.< stop half way when eating..haha..The other 3 dishes which are curry chicken, fried chicken (in small pieces) and fish (ikan tenggiri) that no stand alone photos of them...T.T.. The fried chicken in small pieces very nice too, the taste is sweet compare to the deep fried chicken thigh (have to side order).

Anyway, you can choose to sit inside the restaurant or outside which is opposite road (under the trees). We choose to seat inside since roadside is dangerous but I found that outside is much more cooler than inside restaurant (maybe there are cooler fan outside).

Finally the bill! Total bill RM52.80 for four person, very reasonable price I think. The food was nice and not very spicy, at least mom like it though (I have a picky mom..haha..). I probably will come back for it!

Pavillion, UNIQLO, Mirrorcle

I went to Pavillion to took some photos because it is Christmas time where Christmas decorations are all over the place. It is the best time to have photos!

Finally, I have the chance to visit this leading fashion boutique from Japan-UNIQLO that is 1st store in Malaysia at Fahrenheit 88 for the 1st time. The first day opening in Novemeber 4, everyone was crazy about this shop and line up for hours outside just to have a look at it. Luckily, I was at Penang facing my final exam, if not I maybe one of them. :) shopaholic..

Unfortunately, I didn't get anything at the shop. I don't see any cartoon t-shirts but lots of winter wear and legging. I saw a lot of nice legging but my legs are big and ugly to put on any legging..sad..:( Anyway, our Malaysia's weather is hard for me to put on any fleece too..Empty handed out from the shop...

Fleece-RM79.90

Legging-RM129.90

Here is another shop that I feel that I must write about especially for those who are not fancy about branded clothes. This boutique name Mirrorcle where located at Fahrenheit88 too (just above UNIQLO). The most attracted me was the price which range about RM10-RM60. It is not like any Sg. Wang nor Time Square cheap clothes shops (all RM10 or all RM 25), no! it is definitely not! I don't gain any benefit for promoting it.

I got information that all this clothes are from Taiwan where you can really feel the quality is so much different from the Chine one. I can said average quality for that price like this is so so so worth it. You can notice that some of the clothes designs are the same as other normal range boutique which sold it for RM80 and above where you can get it here for only RM30. Like I said again, I don't gain anything from promoting it but just to share to everyone about this shop where you all know nowdays to find a nice and a bit good quality piece of blouse or dress, 1 purple note is never enough. But this shop can save us a bit more on spending.

One more thing to let you all know is all clothes do not come with label tags. That is why I said no brand clothes! I was so busy choosing and trying the clothes where I have forgotten to take a photo of it, so I get some of it from the net.

 3 dresses, 2 blouses (price range RM18.90-RM33.90)

 RM17.90

 RM12.90

I'm sure going back for more...

Tong Kee Bread & Tarts | Sri Petaling

I don't really fancy about bread but today I just bump into this bread shop because of the unique shop name- bread & tarts. Mom insists to go in to have a look after we had our lunch at Hailam Kopitiam. The environment is nice, very comfortable when walk inside. The most attractive place is the cakes, so colourful with some light tricks. We bought some bread and tarts of course (the shop name has stated tarts for sure have to try it!). So, I just found out that this shop I have visited is actually quite famous of its tarts after mention by my brother. Whoa.. I slightly missed it if not for mom who draw me back. So I got some photos from the net since I didn't take any for not knowing..silly me..

ELLE Warehouse Sale 2-12 Dec 2010

I went to Hotel Sri Petaling today to have a look on the warehouse sale that have been on since 2nd Dec. 3 sale were on at Hotel Sri Petaling Function room. You can see from the banner below.

I went in to the ELLE department 1st. Many clothes and shoes are sold there, price range from RM16 and above. No more stock for RM19 sport shoes. Mostly are those 50% offer clothes that we can find in ELLE shops now. I just get myself a pair of trouser. No many suitable clothes for me but for those who fancy ELLE high heels, there are a lot of choices.

On the other side is another warehouse sale for kid apparel, Carefree, Clean & Clear and Neutrogene.

There is also 70% offer on Clinelle product. That is worth but unfortunately I have stop using it 1 year ago. I help my room mate bought 2 bottle of Milk Cleaner for only RM11 each (normal price is RM36+). I bought a compact powder for only RM9 (normal price is RM30+).

I like the compact powder cover which is white in colour and come with 2 small powder puffs.

End of my shopping today. :)
